Question about credit cards that offer rental car insurance coverage...... [View all]

We all know how confusing and expensive rental car companies make it for the consumer when insuring the car you're renting. The cost of fully insuring the vehicle usually exceeds the cost of the rental itself.

I have several credit cards that provide the benefit of paying for insurance on rental cars when one of those particular credit cards is used to pay for the rental.

My question is: Does this rental car insurance provided by the credit card company cover all three types of insurance that the rental car companies are always trying to get us to purchase? Or is there some catch?
