I own one, and murdering anyone is the last thing I would ever want to do.
If I really wanted to murder someone I had a perfect storm of an opportunity Monday night. I driving to a restaurant after dark, and a person who fit two of my biggest road pet peeves - Idiot bicyclists who don't obey traffic laws, and people who talk on cell phones while driving - went through a red light, violating my right-of-way at an intersection. He had no lights on, and no helmet or any other protective gear.
Without any conscious thought I hit the brakes, hard. My SUV stopped about six feet short of the path of the cyclist, who continued on at a good clip without even looking in my direction.
If I had maintained course and speed there probably would have been a collision, and I would have "won." But I value life over all other things. Even the life of a low-life nitwit who doesn't value his own life.
If I was prone to worrying about strange things that strangers post on the Internet, I might take offense at your attitude. But I really don't care what you think. I'll keep my rifle and continue to keep it locked up when I'm not out using it responsibly.
