It should no longer be a positive to run for Congress as a lobbyist for the gun industry. Those that support assault weapons under the guise of the 2nd Amendment should no longer be allowed to escape the wrath of the voters. They have shown that they are not worthy of our votes.

After the rampage and killings of the children in Newtown, CT, there is no defense left for assault weapons in the hands of "law-abiding" citizens. It is time to confront them politically and to make them pay a political price for their support of the NRA and their cowardice in the face of necessity. Let us draw a line in the sand. Either you are for the safety of the American people or you are for assault weapons. It has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment.
