...I came across an envelope of bw photos that were taking in the massacre in Nanking, where the Japanese brutalized so many people. Amateur photos. Extremely graphic -- one showed a beheading in action. I couldn't afford them, although I realized their historic value. And I was repulsed, of course. When I went back again, some had been sold from the lot, which is too bad.
