46. Not a problem ...

that comes from an actual conversation I had with a rightwinger.

He insisted that government over-reach was the reason he couldn't bring his revolutionary product idea to market. I don't recall what the product was; but when he explained it to me, I didn't have a "IBD" (I'll Be Damned) moment, but rather a "WTF" (Why The F ... would anyone want that) moment.

But anyway, after talking with him for a couple of minutes, it became clear, he had done no market testing of the idea, had not built a product mock-up/proto-type, nor had he done anything to develop the product, other than to think about how rich he would be, if the government would just get off his back.

When questioned about how the government was holding him back, he stated "taxes were too high" ... He had been unemployed for more than 2 years; he indicated government regulations ... he could not point to any regulation that touched him or his product; he pointed to ... get this ... the Senate's failure to pass a budget and failure to bring the gop "jobs plan" to a vote.

I walked away feeling really sorry for this guy.
