My cynicism has been confirmed. [View all]

If you believe 10% of what Jack Ambramhoff says in his book, "Capitol Punishment", it will scare the crap out of you and move you from somewhat cynical to why even try ?
paraphrasing here, "the politician's job in Washington is to drain the country's coffers and enjoy the feast while doing it.
both parties. And the public doesn't seem to care."
On page 118, he makes the case that Ferdinand Marcos had, in his possession, gold certificates for 16,000 metric tons of gold, plus and $800 million personal account in Switzerland; and the world's press (most people) were concentrating on the number of shoes his wife owned.

Our once great country is being gutted by and for politicians on both sides who are only interested in their pet projects and their personal re-election for another run at the feeding trough.

Million dollar golf game bets to avoid direct contributions (because that would be against the law).

Last minute introductions of 3 or four words into an 8,000 page bill that completely changes the original purpose of the bill. etc., etc., Cynical yet ?
