this is import and is always over looked or ignored by the gun zealots. They have twisted the meaning and purpose of the 2nd to such a degree that it would be unrecognizable by the founding fathers.

the 2nd was put there to ensure that the US government could be protected from internal and external threats in the absence of standing army.

The gun zealots are the the type of people the 2nd was written to protect us from.
