Apart from family (who actually don't post anything political and ignore my political posts) I only have one Conservative friend that I actively talk with. And he's full on "Go Galt." We disagree almost completely about politics but he's been supportive of me when I was having problems and I've returned the favor. I don't respect his politics (and I don't think he respects mine) but we do respect each other and have pretty much agreed to disagree on politics - we've got enough else to talk about. I also block him whenever I go off on something I know he'd argue about - out of respect as much as not wanting to argue! And the one thing that keeps me from blocking his more rabid right-wing posts is that he doesn't blindly repost the viral pictures and posters, his rants never goes beyond the pale (even when I want to scream "you idiot!" at him), and he's quick to quash comments from his right wing friends when he thinks they've gone too far. He's the only civil paleo-right winger I've run into online.
