I like the hairdo as a hairdo, but I have reservations about it on these grounds:

The first thing you notice now is the hair, not the face. Michelle Obama has a beautiful face, and all these bangs cover it up. She's lucky to have such a beautiful face, and I preferred it when she showed more of it. (I'm also thinking the do is a bit too young.) Maybe I just need to get used to it. Or maybe it's just my motherly instincts: "You've got such a shayne punim, bubbala, don't cover it up!"
