where most Americans are sick and tired of the religious right.
Look at Western Europe . . . Christianity has been on the decline for decades. And recent data suggests Americans are moving away from organized religion as well, which for the most part, means Christianity.
I'm not quite sure what your point is, but I am personally not afraid of any religious group in the US. I doubt that most Americans are fearful of any so-called powerful, religious organizations.
