(18,219 posts)I have used the same resume format for much of my life (since I often got bored with a job within a year or two so had way too many jobs to list, and that would have looked terrible for me). My resume lists skills and accomplishments instead of just a list of former employers. (Example: I have worked as a bookkeeper for 20 years, at all levels up to and including preparation and interpretation of financial statements. I have accounting experience in a CPA firm, manufacturing, retail, service industries, and auto sales.....) This way I can let them know my experience without listing all the places and dates. At an interview, or on an application that you may have to complete, I just leave out any position that I was not working at for long.
