4. Actually what Harry (and only Harry) has done is recess the 1st day

The second day the Senate has sat is already over with, but the first day continues. Somewhere in the chronology in the first posting something is missing too. I say that because I can remember seeing Senators have to come up and speak on the Senate floor, not at all like today when the simple threat of a filibuster seems sufficient to call one into effect.

Make 'em stand and talk. Senators do not like to look like damned fools, and that is exactly what a real filibuster does, it makes the whining side look like a batch of fools, all talking foolish jabber to one-another.
