102. As a fan of Kelly Clarkson ....
Tue Jan 22, 2013, 07:20 AM
Jan 2013

I have to say that it wasn't her best performance ever, but she was nervous. She normally sings 10 times better than that. She doesn't usually get nervous but she does when performing at a big special event, things such as the Superbowl and singing for the Pope and of course today. I think it's a bit harsh to say she was horrible. You want to hear horrible? Watch the American Idol auditions for horrible. Singers, who are human after all, aren't always going to sing perfectly. Nerves, climate and illness can be factors. I know how she looks when she's genuinely nervous and she was today. Trust me, if she had not wanted to be there, she wouldn't have been. Her own record label would even tell you that she doesn't do anything she does not want to do.

She voted for Obama twice so all this hate thrown at her is also harsh. She claims to be a republican, but lately it sounds like she might be evolving. You can't seriously tell me that nobody here changed parties at some point. Yes, there are many lifelong liberals here, but some came from the other side because their perspectives changed - it happens a lot as people get older. When someone might be going through the transformation we should be supporting them, not be hateful to them in the process. Being hateful accomplishes nothing good.
