29. Bachmann has NEVER been elected to statewide office.

She has only won elections in a very conservative district. Redistricting this year may put her place of residence in MN CD-4, where she will face a very popular progressive Congresswoman, Betty McCollum. The boundaries are not official yet, and won't be until late February, but that's the expectation by many who are following the redistricting. Bachmann is not popular with MN Republicans, either, except in her old district, which will probably be broken up.
