5. Why was Nixon still called Mr President?

Why was corrupt former Police Commissioner Gillian Loeb still called "Mr Commissioner"? Do you know what they called Napoleon when he was exiled to Elbe Island? They called him "that asshole" mostly, but to his face they always said "Your Imperial Majesty." Rejecting good form is rejecting civilization, even if the occasional scoundrel gets an undeserved honorific out of the bargain.
