(4,033 posts)We recently lost our beloved Sancho very suddenly. Sancho's greatest joy was to ride in the car. that dog could read body language better than any person I have ever met. If I even thought about going somewhere, he was at the door dancing around and wanting to go. After he left us, the house just seemed too empty and we made the decision to get another dog. One night I was browsing the net and found a beautiful pup available. I bookmarked the page to show my wife. I slept in the next morning and when I came out, she told me she had to show me a puppy she had found. It was the same dog! We when and let Bentley adopt us the very next day.
We've had Bentley for about 3 months now. About 3 weeks ago I needed to run to the store for a couple of items. I grabbed the keys off the hook in the kitchen and Bentley headed for the door, wanting to go with me! He has been a constant companion in the car ever since. I'm beginning to change my mind about the whole karma, afterlife, meaning of life thing. Dogs are a blessing on those with whom they choose to spend their lives.
