35. Like all of us here, I still miss my dogs.

The last one was a shelter mutt who was with us for 14 years. I sat with her head in my lap while the vet gave her the injection. When she looked at me for the last time, the love was overwhelming. My husband had said his good byes at home. He just couldn't make it to the end. That was 3 years ago, and we still don't have a dog, but this thread is giving me courage.
