11. When there was a New York Times channel on cable

one of the shows was on reporters. In one a female reporter was crouched down behind a car giving her live report about a shoot-out with the police. When her report was over she stands up. She was never in any danger. It was an act to make her report seem exciting.

Today's reporters are trained to babble on cue whether they know anything or not. In fact, the less they know the better. Wouldn't want to upset someone who was enjoying their morning "news".
