I found this on the first site I looked at outside of DU, didn't take long at all.

If they were going to pick up a friend, then why did they just sit in the car? Why didn't one of them get out and go up to the house? Better yet, if they were there to pick up a friend, they should have known where their friend lived. Sounds like a made up story to me. Hopefully the police look at the GPS and see if they are telling the truth. If you pull up in my drive way and just sit there in the car, you might not like the end result either.

I'm reposting a comment I made on other sites:
This is a tragedy! Focus on that! It isn't about guns! Its about crime and the fear that our elderly have to deal with. This man's wife was my child's kindergarten teacher and I know the family. He is not some deranged racist. He is a man who loves his family and adores his wife (also a senior citizen). He fought for our country! His neighborhood, home for 30+ years, has seen increasing crime. A close friend of theirs - in his 70's who lives nearby had a vehicle stolen from the driveway and was burglarized in December. The elderly are becoming targets and they know it. That driveway is pitch black so I doubt Mr. Sailors could see if the occupants were black, brown, white or purple. Don't be so quick to assume the worst about a person. It is a sad thing that a young person was killed. Its sad that we live in a world where fear can make even the nicest people become reactionary.
As a mother of sons, I grieve for the family of the deceased. Mr. Sailors, a SIXTY-NINE YEAR OLD MAN was in his home minding his own business when this occurred. If someone pulled into my driveway like that I would probably brace myself for the worst too. Let us hope the police will do a proper investigation. To point a finger as if you know the truth is hardly helpful so if you can't be part of the solution - don't contribute to the problem.

Yes, we already have gun nuts saying it is justified to shoot people who pull into your driveway.
