(20,450 posts)about it, in fact, the more I fear that there may be a set up: The Corporate Media pushing a pro-Hillary meme; Democrats and Republicans falling in line pushing Hillary the Inevitable as the candidate. And what happens? Same thing that happened in 2008--people wanting fresh blood. A new face. A rejection of the Old Guard.
The electorate will be much younger in a few years, many young voters who don't remember much about the Clintons other than what's in the history books and Monica Lewinsky. Some might be turned off by the "it's our turn" movement starring the Bushes and the Clintons.
I think we ought to be extremely careful about what we wish for.
Better yet, why not work towards 2014 and elect more progressive Democrats.
Even better...why not respect our current Commander In Chief who has NOT been able to enjoy the fact that he was just reelected due to all the talk of being a "lame duck" and what's happening in 2016. It's really unfair to him.
