Even liberals who disagree strongly with Obama are not going to voice that disagreement on a poll because they know that it will be counted as disagreeing with Obama from the right and not from the left as they actually do.

I'm reminded of an old Arabic saying: "Me against my brother, me and my brother against my cousin, me my brother and my cousin against the stranger.".
