Life has been continuous for at least 3.5 billion years. The sperm and ovum are living cells and they make combination living cell in the zygote. The question, or rather one of three questions, is when does it become a person?
With cloning, every cell in the human body has the potential to be a human being. They cells are alive and are human, but they are not people.
