149. From one old fogey to another...

I could give you Mary Hopkin singing (and playing) "Turn Turn Turn", asking you to listen to the words of that song, and then ponder that, yes, the times, they are a changin', but everyone gets their turn, don't we?

I'll not begrudge Beyonce her ability to perform nor condemn those who enjoyed what she had to offer, especially, and I do mean especially, when I consider the venue that we're all huffing and puffing about.

A friggin' Super Bowl halftime show? Not something to argue over or even get steamed about, in the grand scheme of things, is it? We could compare favorite female singers til we're all blue in the face, reckon the degrees of talent and musical ability of women clear back to the 19th Century if we felt like it, but that ain't gonna change who the NFL chooses to hire for their big super spectacular sunday shebang, will it?
