1. Because they like much of those on the right

have their own history, their own science, their own version of reality. Yes it's easy for those not caught up in their delusions to point out the untruths. But it's pointless. They believe what they want to believe and telling them it's not real only gets one yelled at.

Just the other day I was listening to the radio and a caller calls in to say only handguns were used at Sandy Hook and nothing the reporters said would convince this caller otherwise. Some people live in a bubble and no amount of science or facts or reality will change their point of view.

It's important to challenge their point of view not to change them, but to inform others so they aren't taken in by their falsehoods. So thanks for article! I didn't know about this.
