2. This whole thing is a puzzle to me.

I can assume the woman is being honest about how she felt, especially since there were witnesses right there. For the life of me, I can't imagine why she would feel "threatened". They are in public, with cameras everywhere for pete's sakes.

All I can figure is that she had herself so worked up before the meeting that it didn't matter how it actually went.
