(75,480 posts)35. Okay. To straighten this out. Dorner was ex-LAPD, but where this last drama
unfolded was in a rural part of San Bernardino County, seventy miles from LA and not in the LAPD's jurisdiction but the San Bernardino Sheriff's jurisdiction. I'm sure LAPD is getting reports but they are not part of the action. The SB Sheriffs are being fairly mum about what is happening. They say they pulled out a body and then there are reports they didn't. They did issue a plea with the media to stop reporting, blogging and twittering about because the information they are putting out isn't accurate at this point.

I got a CNN Email breaking news alert that they had recovered his body from the cabin.

That was my first thought. Roads open, no searches but we're not sure if he's dead or not.
