Even if it wasn't as funny as it most obviously was (when you get a better connection you'll see, it's dang hilarious, social media isn't overdoing this one), I still wouldn't be too perturbed by making fun of it. I think they're the enemy. We can't show them respect that they most certainly won't show us. If a Dem made this faux pas they'd be all over it as some of us are. But 10x as much. And they'd find a way to make something nasty out of it. For us it's all good fun at least.

I think Dems need to be more partisan and need to call the Republicans out on their shit, and non-stop, just keep at it, and at it. I think that while I defend the President's center-right bi-partisanship, it's only because he's always said that's what he wanted to do. It's not because I like it! It's because he's consistent. That's all. I find it shitty politics to be sure. I think his talk on climate change was, for instance, some of the most depressing shit ever. He basically said business as usual if you read between the lines ("market based solution to climate change," expanding natural gas, which as the EIA shows, is going to be shale gas, which requires fracking). The drone shit was even worse because it was disguised even more, with code words like "increased capability."
