Is it mutually exclusive to be both pro-gun rights and a Democrat? [View all]

Because it sure seems so on DU.

I know MANY fine Democrats who happen to also be gun owners, and pro-gun rights. That doesn't mean they aren't in favor of some increased control, they just do not agree with the ALL GUNS ARE EVIL refrain.

So, can you be both an otherwise very liberal Democrat, and also be pro-gun rights?
