Nor can things like public flag burning, a pure and unadulterated act of free speech.

OWS will not make it into the news if it keeps standing around a public park protesting. It has to take to the streets as Occupy Oakland has done every weekend.

edit: by "the bloc will have to adapt" I mean, if the allegations of thrown bottles are true, they need to oust those who threw the bottles, etc. It's possible that was done with agents, but being anonymous doesn't preclude agents from getting in your circles, in fact, the OakFoSho feed suggested there were several agents in with the people, in grunge looking clothes, and not covered, and who just walked out of the arrests area without any sort of resistance whatsoever. The bloc itself is not any more susceptible to agent provocateurs than regular protests are. That's just playing the blame game, blaming bloc tactics because they're the most useful tactics that can stop the police from their actions.
