28. Two big pieces, maybe.

I saw something similar, camping in northern Michigan with a dozen high school chums in summer of '78.

Exhausted and blitzed after a day's canoeing, eating and partying, we all were laying on top of our sleeping bags, under the cloudless, black, starry sky, telling jokes and lies and all the stuff old pals say out loud.

All at once, the sky itself seemed to brighten and a meteor streaked across the sky, leaving a cloudy contrail that seemed to glow for a minute afterwards. It seemed to also have made a sizzling sound. This was followed by a loud boom.

We all were amazed. I'm still amazed, thinking about that thing.
