Really depends on the material composition of the meteorite. If its mostly ice, then the trail might be like a condensation trail, as the ice flashes to steam, then condenses back to water vapour.

But if the meteorite is rock and minerals, they're burning off in the extreme heat caused by friction, leaving a trail of a mess of chemical particulate, ash and smoke.

But you can't see this 'cause you're ignoring me (glad you brought it back )
