staff? If not blackmail by the Mob, or someone else, why? If all they wanted to do was to avoid embarrassment to the school, (understandable but still illegal), why not just ease Sandusky out with a nice Golden Parachute?

No, something doesn't add up here, and I still haven't heard a plausible explanation for why he was allowed to keep his job all these years.
