. . . nothing about that relationship runs afoul of our constitution or the oath he swore to.

But, that isn't the issue here. Even as this administration has worked to build and maintain our nation's relationship and promised obligations to our ally in the Middle East, they've also challenged Israel on several fronts and worked to make diplomatic progress and forge working relationships with some who may not operate in Israel's interest. It's inevitable that both sides will have an interest in portraying him as partial to one or the other.
