You were in a completely different situation that was personal/ professional vs. chance encounters.
A person drops their guard among friends/friends of friends. That is family sort of.

Chance encounters and what is seen in the news are 99% of the public's only knowledge of
a first lady.

So the thoughts both ways are correct. Your answer and my answer.No singular answer to it.

It is why personally Barack and Jack are different from each other, even if the two are politically in synch.
Michelle and Barack are different than JFK and Jackie, and why the two have relationships that are personally different from each other. May that love and specialness last forever.

Barack and Michelle, like Rosalind and Jimmy really appear to be soulmates with each other.

But someone else bought Jackie into the thread before I did.

(and of course, Eleanor Roosevelt and Hillary were also not mentioned, and neither was Lady Bird Johnson and LBJ).
