time fighting the racism that existed back then. I think we got tired. Some of the non-violent attitude had begun to fade and there was more violence - the Patty Herst story comes to mind - and there was a lot of stress. I remember talking to a friend who said, "I am exhausted - I feel like I have been fighting my entire life." Plus they started their takeover with preaching - most of us saw no threat in that - but we forgot to listen to what they were preaching.
