4. And The Clock Continues To Tick...

Feb 2013

I admit I'm enjoying this...even though I do miss my occasional forays into the bubbleworld, watching this system crash has been quite amusing. I've had my share of crashes...most of them long ago when equipment was nowhere near as robust as today...back-up machines and drives are a part of doing business. I go crazy if I'm down for an hour...I'd be near suicidal if it lasted the better part of a week. But then...they're using PERL script software that went out of use around 2000 and I'm suspecting a bunch of Trash 80s...

The longer they're down the more people will gravitate to other sites. Then, there'll be the fallout when the system comes back up...especially if the databases were corrupted. I've always considered freeperville a relic of the bad old days...nice to see it marginalized.

Big kudos to Skinner, Elad and EarlG who keep this place up and rolling 24/7/365 and rarely is there a major outage or glitch.
