BULLSHIT.
recruiting didnt jump much in 2002. By 2003 they were already doing the shady shit reported on here so much (ie 'missing an appointment with a recruiter is a federal offense'). By 2004 they were lowering standards and lowering quotas. Even the economic collapse didnt really help recruiting all that much, considering we were running two wars.
It's fantasy. And I lived among those people for over a year. They are shockingly just like us. Yes, if your street blew up, you are going to be angry towards somebody or some country. But guess what, just like us, not many of them actually do anything about it.
this whole notion of the whole street taking up arms and becoming terrorists also lies soley on the presumption that 'muslims' are by nature a much more war like and combative people that 'americans'. Not a very progressive concept.
