Robert Bork & Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George HW Bush, W Bush, Jeb Bush, G.Ford [View all]

Last edited Tue Feb 26, 2013, 06:07 AM - Edit history (1)

A part of the new book by the now deceased Robert Bork, whom Ted Kennedy and the Democratic Senate voted NO after Ronald Reagan in his 3rd pick nominated to the US Supreme Court-

That the fracture of 1980 within the Democratic party, combined with the treasonous deal Reagan/Bush made to delay the hostages led to Reagan naming 3, count them 3 Supreme Court Justices.

and in 1980, REPUBLICAN John Anderson ran 3rd party to shave votes from Jimmy Carter.
and in 2000, Ralph Nader repeated a million times that Bush and Gore were one and the same.

And 10 million voters stayed home that year.
And it led to Alito and Roberts being named to the court.

and in 2013, the same old same old of a small MINORITY of voters are again saying there is no difference between Bush and President Obama.

Isn't Robert Bork, Anton Scalia(who was voted 98-0 btw),Sandra Dey O'Connor, Samuel Alito, John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, William Rehnquist being elevated to Chief Justice by Reagan,
etc. PROOF ENOUGH yet one hears ad nauseum that Bush and President Obama are one and the same from this very small MINORITY of those who are part of the democratic party.

At what point is history repeating itself not seen?

1968, 1980,1984, 1988, 2000, 2004

Is it really that all those Supreme Court names are fine as it makes whining so much easier to blame the court...

when the US Supreme Court could have been such a great court all these years had
Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George Herbert Walker Bush, George W. Bush never been elected in the first place.

I am 100% certain, beyond any doubt
Jimmy Carter
Al Gore
John Kerry and
President Obama would NEVER have even entertained devil's advocate style ANY of those names whatsoever.

ALL the great social issues so near and dear to the Democratic party AND REAL LIBERALS
are in jeopardy due to 1968, 1980, 1984, 1988, 2000, 2004
and some don't seem to care that history will once again revolve in 2016 to the same
republican party of Reagan/Bush so involved in all of the above choices by bringing directly
OR indirectly, Jeb Bush.

NO the democratic party today is NOT in ANY way, the same as the republican party.

Isn't it time to lay to rest forever that meme which cost the party so dearly in 2000 and 2004?

BEFORE 2014 (let alone 2016).

In 1976, Jimmy Carter blew out the big stink that was the republican party after Nixon resigned and Gerald Ford took office.

damn fools in 1980...damn fools.

Had Jimmy Carter been elected again in 1980, NONE of those choices would have become Supreme Court Justices. SO why would anyone be foolish enough to keep that meme going about one and the same???

Isn't it time to forever stop that?

(just my opinion).
