In the early morning, getting oneself together to face the day, most people want to know what's new.

Local stations offer the weather, traffic, headlines, etc.

CNN covers world and national news.

c-span does the Congress and DC goings on.

MSNBC 6-9am ET is a freak show. Mika sits there, head down, like a battered spouse. The panel all have the look of hostages
afraid to anger the egotistical and raving host. Mika will look at the morning papers but very little news coverage.
