8. I recently found out about factory farming.

Did you know that factory farming contributes more to global warming than the entire transportation industry? If everyone in the U.S. gave up meat and cheese one day a week, the effect would be equivalent to taking 7.6 million cars off the road (ref).

I watched "Vegucated" a few weeks ago. It has changed my life. I'm now reading "Eating Animals" by Johathan Safran Foer.
