They GOP voted against SS and have tried to destroy it ever since. Theyve been scaremongering about it since it passed. We have a $2.7 trillion surplus in the SS trust fund and the surplus will disappear in 30 years at which time it will go on a pay as you go basis like it did til 1986 when Reagan DOUBLED the payroll tax.
