From what I heard, most people in China were quite unhappy that footage of these people was aired. Still, I think its a bit much to compare the event to reality TV. Seems to be a report which went a bit too far If you look at statistics on the average daily TV viewing time in China, its much less than most western countries. I guess this unpleasant event will make them avoid TV even more. Perhaps they need to model their content more on Japan's craziness.
