someone predicted the demise of the Republican party I'd be a rich rich woman. Nixon's resignation in 1974 -- Ronald Reagan 6 years later. There's too much gravy to be made by keeping both major political parties at each other's throats. It keeps the unwashed masses believing we still have a Democracy.
