(75,480 posts)29. I don't think you need to worry about that.
US policy is not to invade and colonize Latin America in the old fashioned sense. They find it easier to buy governments, well the government ruling classes anyway. That way they don't have to do the messy governing and providing of services to the people like we have had to do in other nations we invade with boots on the ground.
