I love the focus of it. And the haziness of the background. The contrast between the two. And the contrast in textures, the delicacy of the snow caught in the metal. This was my first place choice from the beginning.
There was another I liked for the color and circumstance that didn't make the finals. The one with bikes lying in the snow, with a red wooden warehouse in the background. The color contrast was gorgeous, as was the contrast in what the bikes brought to your imagination with what all that snow makes you think of. It's a pretty common scene in Colorado, where you can experience several seasons in a day. That photo was my second choice to win.
