(1,309 posts)Brain research has shown that conservative brains respond most actively to fear. This fear when not related to reality is caused paranoia. Knowing that fear excites those feelings of fear the conservative media and conservative political leadership makes outrageous charges ignoring any attempt at context or significance or real relevance to world events. While this is necessary to stimulating support among rank and file ignorant fearful people, it also stimulates the paranoid into embracing and spreading delusions of supposed future attack as it reenforces their racist or other unhealthy values regarding society and the government. This creates more and more crazies signing up for the militia groups.
To be more direct, repubs spread fear, fear drives crazies to become more crazy. When the level of craziness has reached the appropriate level of paranoid frenzy, a new member of the so called patriots has been made.
To stop this from happening, we must call the conservatives on the bull that they spread. We must talk honestly with all our brothers and sisters to allay their fears. We cannot sit idly by while they spread this dishonest vile disinformation. We must get out of our comfort zones and talk to our neighbors. Smiling smugly about the ignorance of others, adds truth to the portrayal of elite intellectuals who care little and think they always know better. The repugnants have seen the benefits of spreading this lie, lets make sure it is not true.
The truth can set us all free!
