(34,189 posts)Not visible from the street but a sheriff deputy had stopped in about something else and noticed the truck had no tag. He was nice and only gave me a verbal warning.
The guy who owned the truck had made a deal to store stuff in part of my storage building. He filled the entire space and parked the truck and some other equipment behind the building without my permission. Then he reneged on the promised payments. Because of health problems I was going through, it took several years before I could get him to get his crap out.
He kept telling me to sell the truck. It had no tag, the battery was bad, one tire at least was flat, and he never supplied me with a title. My own truck was having electrical problems and I had three operations in two years. I was in no position to fix his truck and certainly had no incentive to do so.
It was too bad - he had been a close friend of my husband's. But he had turned into a crackhead and right wing nut so we'd stopped socializing with him. The situation with the truck and other stuff ended our association completely.
