This is a sad sad thread, remembering so many that we've lost, but making a special group to permanently memorialize each of them will be a very nice tribute.

I just found out here this afternoon that an old friend of mine died some time ago and without your Group proposal, I likely would have never learned of her passing. I am kicking myself now, fresh grieving over Merci_me, a wonderful woman who I knew for years as "Midge" on a media message board, crying reading inspiring and often hilarious emails as I mourn our sweet lost Mary.

We have long-needed this Memorial Group for DU; just as newyawker99 once so diligently kept track of each of our "milestones" by proclaiming post-counts, dedicating a respectful nook to all those who have passed on is proper and necessary in our DU community.
