Jersey Shore, Honey Boo Boo, Dancing with the Stars, Duck something or other (I don't have cable and only hear about these stupid shows third hand). While the middle class is being screwed over five ways to Sunday, the middle class sits in their easy chairs watching endless hours of TV to numb themselves from their realities.

It's pitiful what we've become, but I felt that way when Bush was ensconced in the presidency by a crooked Supreme Court and we were told by the corporate media that we just had to live with it. Then the electorate decides to give him another 4 years. Who wouldn't be despondent?
