Allowing a small number to be hunted dioes not threaten the species.

I suppose we should just let the Japanese wipe out all the whale species that are still in existence too?

They should certainly be allowed to harvest species that aren't endangered.

Heck, I ate whale twice just last week when I was in Iceland. Minke whale, not endangered.

It was yummy.
